| How do I enroll? |
Once you have determined which school your child should attend (see Enrollment), you will need to complete the registration forms available at each school office. In addition you will need your child's:
- Birth Certificate
- Current immunization records
- Two forms of parent's address verification (Driver's License, P.G.& E. or telephone bill, or rental agreement or final escrow papers.
- Documentation of a physical exam completed by your child's physician (mandatory by 1st grade

| What are the age requirements to enroll in Kindergarten? |
A child must be five years old on or before December 2 of the year she/he starts school.

| Is there day care available? |
Yes. Day care is provided at each of our school sites by Extended Childcare Coalition
(see Day-care). They can be reached at 545-2402. The main office is located at 335 College Avenue in Santa Rosa.

| How do I get an Inter- or Intra-district transfer? |
To obtain an Inter-district transfer (between school districts) or an Intra-district transfer (within the same district), complete the request form available at all schools and the district office.

| What are the average class sizes in the district? |
The Wright Elementary School District maintains a 20 to 1 class size in grades
K - 3. The average class size in grades 4 - 6 is 27.7.

| I'm interested in Home-schooling my child. How does this work? |
Home study is available through the Wright Elementary School District. For information, check the home study link on this website.

| Is Independent study different from Home Study? |
Parents may request independent study when a student will be absent for five or more consecutive days. Teachers will provide packets of work to be completed during the student's absence and turned in when the student returns to school. Home study is a District program for students whose parents choose to do all school instruction at home. Please refer to the home study link on this website.

| When do report cards come out? |
There are three reporting periods during the school year - one ending in December, one ending in March, and the final evaluation at the end of school in June. Conferences are available following the fall and winter assessments. If you have concerns about your child's progress, please consult your child's teacher.

| What middle school/high school will my child attend? |
Upon completion of sixth grade, students may enter the Santa Rosa City School District for secondary schooling. Wright Elementary School District students generally move on to Lawrence Cook Middle School (7-8) and Elsie Allen High School (9-12). However, there are other options available for parents to consider for their student's attendance in middle school. For information regarding options, please call the Wright District Office at 542-0550 ext. 103. For information about Santa Rosa City schools, programs, or boundaries for grades 7-12, call Santa Rosa City School District at 528-5373.
