Registration for the 2023-24 school year opens on January 9th!

If you need assistance, the staff can help you with your application at the school offices.

State law requires that the District enroll all children who turn 5 between September 2nd and April 2nd. Additionally, WESD would like to enroll as many students who turn 4 on or before September 1st as space will allow.

If you have a child who will be 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2023, we encourage you to consider enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten.  Priority for open seats will be granted based on age.

Interdistrict transfers are also welcome to apply and will be accepted based on the availability of space.

J.X. Wilson School is one of three K-6 elementary schools in the Wright Elementary School District, located in southwest Santa Rosa. The school first opened its doors in the spring of 1976, and this year we serve approximately 555 students in 23 classes. We are proud of our experienced and extremely dedicated teaching staff, our supportive parents, and our recognized level of student achievement. Our teachers hold high expectations for all students, both academically and behaviorally, and our staff works very collaboratively and creatively to provide a rich and rigorous educational program that addresses their diverse range of individual strengths and needs. Schoolwide, we focus on creating a positive, mutually-respectful teaching and learning environment, and on cultivating a "caring and considerate community" that engages and supports all of its members.
