    Wright Elementary School District is Accepting Applications To Fill a Vacant Seat on the Governing Board

    Due to the passing of Robin Jackson, Board member, the Wright Elementary
    School District (WESD) currently has a vacancy on its Governing Board, for the remainder of the term until the next WESD regular election scheduled to be held on November 8, 2022. At the Board Meeting of June 17, 2021, the Board will announce the process to fill the vacancy by a provisional appointment from among qualified applicants.

    The District is requesting all those interested in serving on the school board submit an application. Applications are available here and at the District Office, 4385 Price Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95407.

    To be eligible to apply for appointment to the Governing Board an individual must be at least 18 years old, be a resident of the Wright Elementary School District, be a registered voter in the State of California, and not be disqualified from holding civil office by the constitution or any law of the State of California.

    This provisional appointee will hold office until December 9, 2022. An employee of the Wright Elementary School District may not be sworn into office as an elected or appointed member of the Board, unless he or she resigns as an employee. If the employee does not resign, the employment will automatically terminate upon being sworn into office.
